Tan Y Castell (Foods) Limited, a Welsh Company based in Narberth, Pembrokeshire, baking Traditional Welshcakes
The baking of our Traditional Welshcakes began in the proprietor's farmhouse kitchen. He would bake small batches to an original farmhouse recipe on a small Aga, once baked he would then take them to the local farm shops for people to try. The cakes were liked by all and through word of mouth; the demand for Tan Y Castell Welshcakes grew from baking in a small farmhouse kitchen to a purpose built premises today.
Our Welshcakes are baked to a Traditional Farmhouse Recipe with no additives, preservatives or added salt, much of the baking is still done by hand. We have been commended by the 'True Taste Awards' & have been finalists in 'The Grocer Branded of Excellence Awards 2009'.'
